Xulon Press author Kevin Horgan, author of “The March of the 18th”, a book about crippled heroes in the Civil War, is pictured (below) with SSgt Lisa Bieler, Center Commander of the US Army Recruiting Center in Roswell, GA.
The event was a book signing at the Barnes & Noble North Point Mall in Alpharetta, on Saturday, June 15, 2013, for Kevin Horgan’s historical novel, “The March of the 18th” published by Xulon Press.
The book dramatizes the actual movement of the Union Army’s 18th Veterans’ Reserve Corps during 1863-64, a story about invalid soldiers long forgotten as a footnote in our nation’s history.
The signing was a huge success, as over 80 customers sought inscribed books.
“The beauty of the book is the fact that half of all royalties will be donated to charities for wounded veterans,” said Horgan. “It is a unique story that inspires young and old alike. Many thanks go to Barnes & Noble and its staff for making this event come together.”
