In our last post for October, we want to take a moment to celebrate the memory of one of our cherished Xulon Press authors, Pamela Phillips. She published a book titled Tie One On for any chemotherapy patients who have lost their hair due to the treatments. Her how-to book is complete with various pictures of ways to wrap scarves as well as how to accessorize them. Pamela has since passed, but everyone at Xulon Press remembers her fondly and was blessed to come in contact with her.
“I met Pamela Phillips at the 2011 International Christian Retail Show and I had an immediate connection with her. She was so much fun to be around. I’m honored to be a part of her book, Tie One On. It is an amazing and inspiring book. I miss Pam and every once in a while I read an old email from her and smile. Thank you Pam for your book and your friendship.” —Rebecca Rehm, Director of Special Operations
To honor Pam as well as anyone else who may be in the fight with cancer this month, we editors wanted to show our support by modeling a few of the looks from the book.
Win a copy of Tie One On
We also want to give you the chance to win this book, whether for yourself or for a loved one who could use it as encouragement to face the challenge of chemo with grace and determination. If you would like to put your name in the drawing, go to Facebook and like the Xulon Press page, then return here and comment to let us know you’ve done so. If you would like to purchase a few copies for an organization or support group you may be involved in, you can do so through the Xulon Press Bookstore.
Through our posts during this Breast Cancer Awareness month we aimed to energize you with hope and inspire you with creativity. We encourage everyone to keep the cause active throughout the year; when everyone commits to being involved, together we can help advance the progress and create a future of cures.

Great Job Ladies, what a wonderful way to honor Pam and Breast Cancer Awareness. As a daughter of a survivor, this is awesome!
Thanks so much for the heartfelt support! We are so glad we were able to speak to the subject in a fitting and uplifting way.
What a wonderful way to keep someone’s memory alive. My Mother is also a survivor and I appreciate everything you’ve done here.
Rolanda, your response is exactly what we were hoping for with this post. Sometimes I feel like words would never be enough to convey how I truly feel about the rise of cancer and the amazing testimony of survivors, but seeing your comment lets me know the message got through. Thank you so much!
I appricate your writing..lost five sisters with cancer..at a young age..of eleven siblings..prayer goes your way..
It is so beautiful to see that although your losses have been many, you have not lost your hope in prayer. Thank you so much for your sharing your thoughts.
