Los Angeles, CA — The Sixth Annual National Indie Excellence Awards recognized Servant Hearts: The Legacy of the Dimmitt Automotive Group (Xulon Press, 2012) by Richard R. Dimmitt with Tom McQueen in the category of Business-Entrepreneurship & Small Business as a Finalist.
This national award, based in Los Angeles, CA is open to all English language books including small presses, university presses, independent publishers and self-published authors. Works published in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 were eligible for consideration.
The competition is judged by independent experts from all aspects of the indie book industry, including publishers, writers, editors, book cover designers and professional copywriters. They select award winners and finalists based on overall excellence of presentation.
Servant Hearts is a non-fiction work that traces the legacy of the Dimmitt family and their mission to improve the lives of their employees, their customers, and their community. Richard R. Dimmitt is the Chief Executive Officer of the Dimmitt Automotive Group. As a third generation Dimmitt family automobile dealer, he has owned and operated successful dealerships for over thirty years. Mr. Dimmitt has won numerous Master Dealer Awards in addition to being recognized in the community for his countless charitable endeavors.
Tom McQueen is a three-time book author award winner having won an Angel Award and a Nautilus Award for Letters to Ethan: A Grandfather’s Legacy of Life & Love. McQueen is in the process of completing another book with Xulon Press titled, Megan’s Messages: A True Story of Life, Death & Miracles.
Servant Hearts will be featured at the Xulon Press booth at BookExpoAmerica (BEA) in New York City over the Memorial Day weekend.
