Xulon Press Authors Reach the World

Xulon Press book Miracles in the Forgotten Land and BeyondJust last week our Special Projects Manager Rebecca Rehm shared a very powerful reminder with the company: Xulon books have immeasurable reach. She received a high review from the most unexpected source – her own mother! Therese Fuglaar is a missionary who has traveled to Albania and China. She will be leaving this coming Friday on a trip to Cambodia and in preparation for her work there, the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) gave her a list of books they approve and recommend missionaries read before they leave the United States. Imagine her surprise to discover that one of the books on that list is a Xulon Press book!

Miracles in the Forgotten Land and Beyond, by Setan and Randa Lee with Shelba Hammond is the true story of the authors’ experiences in Cambodia. Therese did not even realize that Xulon Press published this book until she received it in the mail. Not only did she enjoy that title, but she also came across a post on the Xulon Press Facebook page that mentioned Before You Go: Forty Days of Preparation for a Short Missions Trip by Jack Hempfling, who has been featured in Xulon’s Author Spotlight. Therese says, “This is the first time I found a devotional so fitting for missionaries. I would recommend this book to anyone who is going on a short term mission trip because Hempfling really covers all the bases.” She is part of a group that sponsors a safe house for Cambodian girls who are victims of sex trafficking. During her ten-day trip she will be spending quality time with the girls and meeting with the staff who work at the safe house.

Xulon Press book Before You Go: Forty Days of Preparation for a Short Missions TripThe world is not small, but God is great and as we faithfully carry out the tasks He gives us, He takes the messages where they need to go. This is highly encouraging not only for the employees of Xulon Press, but more so for our authors! Your messages, stories and testimonies are like gold – they are truly treasures of immeasurable worth. If you are an author or thinking of writing a book, be encouraged today that your message is invaluable. Someone, somewhere needs the words you have in mind. Book publishing continues to be a major source of inspiration and change amongst societies and cultures all over the world.

A missionary in the U.S., a Bible student in Cambodia, maybe even an employee in your state – there’s no limit to the number of lives you can touch through a book that offers hope, growth, direction and a close experience with God. Self-publishing is a great way for Christian authors to cultivate the topics and themes they receive from God because they make all the decisions throughout the entire publishing process that is customized to fit every writer’s needs. Once you put the seed in the ground, there is no telling how great a tree can grow. Plant the seed of God’s message in the form of a book and let Him fill you with the wonderful confidence that His word will not return to Him void.

You can find Miracles in the Forgotten Land and Beyond as well as Before You Go: Forty Days of Preparation for a Short Missions Trip in the Xulon Press Bookstore.

  1. I’m the 46 year old baby of her three daughters and could not be more proud of my Mom. The world got smaller when she called me about the Xulon Press book Miracles in the Forgotten Land and Beyond. It was a timely reminder for me from God on a drive home from work that the work we as staff members do and the books you as authors write are so important. The work tasks and books, though perceived as small, inspire others in a lost world. Though we cannot always see salvation taking place, we might just be a part of it if we can continue getting His word out there. How much of a price can we put on a book that helps bring salvation? I’m so proud of my Mother’s dedication to women’s ministry and her mission trips to Albania and now Cambodia to help young women not get trapped in sex trafficking by building safe-houses for them. I’m thankful that Xulon Press and these authors who wrote these books. We are now a part of this trip to Cambodia. I am truly blessed to have been raised and taught by my Mom. She’s also one cool chick to hang around with!

  2. What a tremendous blessing for me to know that “Miracles in the Forgotten Land and Beyond” is a blessing to others! That has been our prayer for this book from its conception. Thank you so much for letting us know about this. I truly appreciate Xulon Press and all their help with our book. I pray that God will continually use our book, but also other great books published by Xulon Press.
